Ross Finnie praises the selection of experienced campaigner Helen Watt

West of Scotland Liberal Democrat MSP Ross Finnie has praised the selection of experienced local campaigner Helen Watt as the Liberal Democrat Candidate for West Dunbartonshire in the General Election.

Helen Watt is a former Lecturer of Computing Science at Glasgow University, a local campaigner and current volunteer for a number of charities including Oxfam and the WRVS. Helen is also the Convener of the Clydebank Liberal Democrat Party.

Commenting Mr Finnie said:

“I was delighted by the selection of Helen Watt as our Candidate for West Dunbartonshire, as a long time friend and colleague of Helen’s I cannot think of a better choice for the seat.

“Helen is a far more experienced Candidate than the Labour or Conservative choices and this is clear to see in her extensive political cv and her impressive career history. Helen is an ideal choice for West Dunbartonshire and I look forward to campaigning for her.

“Helen has the drive and vision to be the MP the people of West Dunbartonshire have always deserved.”
