O’Donnell: Labour tried to bury disabled children strategy

5.26.29pm GMT Thu 25th Mar 2010

Labour MSP Karen Whitefield has attempted to withdraw amendments to the Public Service Reform Bill which sought to create a national strategy for Scotland's disabled children.

Hugh O'Donnell MSP with Liberal Democrat colleagues demanded a vote take place, consequently the amendments were not passed by Parliament.

Commenting, Hugh O'Donnell said:

"Labour tried to bury the national disabled children strategy.

"This is a crying shame. Scotland's disabled children need a national strategy to properly address their needs."
