McInnes: Rail facilities must improve to get people onto public transport

2.35.31pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 23rd Jul 2010

Commenting on the annual report on ScotRail's services, Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes said:

"An improvement in ScotRail's performance is to be welcomed, however the fine they received shows there is still room for improvement.

"Passengers want to see value for money for their train travel.

"If people are to be persuaded out of their cars and onto public transport, it is important that ScotRail take these recommendations on board and continue their work improving rail facilities across Scotland."
